Jack Robbins Clothes of Distinction
Belmont & Central
Kirsten summed it up: "... and that's a sign of distinction."
A picture can't really do justice to this sign. This neighborhood is mighty west and mostly Polish.
It seems to have had some Vegas-like aspirations, maybe in the late 50s.
After blocks of nothing, all of a sudden there's a clutter of signs, many of which spin or blink or something fancy.
Then there's this.
It's almost as big as the store. I didn't even have to tell Kirsten what sign I wanted her to drive to.
Just "head west on Belmont until you can't believe it, and you'll know it when you see it."
I think the day Jack Robbins got this sign, everyone else just gave up.
